About the Test

FMDC is announced undergraduate medical education and promoting a culture of medical research to improve health care facilities in the country.
FMDC have the following departments:

• Department of Anatomy
• Department of Physiology
• Department of Biochemistry
• Department of Pharmacology
• Department of Pathology
• Department of Community & Public Health Sciences
• Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology     

Admission Entry Test and Merit

The FMDC MBBS admission test shall be conducted by National Testing Service (NTS). The admission authority shall arranged the order of merit while allocating the following weight age .

1. Matric /equivalent 10%
2. HSSC/ lntermediate (Pre- medical)/equivalent- 40%
3. Entry Test 50%

Test Pattern and Syllabus

FMDC MBBS Admission test that is conducted by NTS is based on two parts :

1. General Part: Verbal Section – Antonyms , Synonyms , English Correction , Reading Comprehension.
2. Subject Part: Biology , Physics , Chemistry 

Test Centers

FMDC test is conducted by NTS in these cities.

1. Islamabad
2. Lahore
3. Karachi
4. Peshawar
5. Quetta
6. Multan
7. Faisalabad
8. Muzaffarabad
9. Sukkar
   

Note: Subject to a minimum of 100 candidates, other wise the candidate will be assigned next nearest test city.

Test Result Date

Candidate received FMDC entry test result  on NTS website after 5 or 6 days of test.After announced test result candidate can received result card on their Postal  address that was he write on his admission form.

Role Number Slip / Admit Card

Roll number slip is necessary on the test center NTS dispatch roll no slips one weak before test. If you cannot receive your roll no slip then you download the copy of your slip from the NTS website.
NOTE: 
If you do not have original roll no slip then you have also original  CNIC with copy of roll no slip on the test center and inform the member of information desk on the test center.

Accepted Applicants List

After one weak of form submission NTS display the Accepted Candidate List  on the website.You must check your name in the list if you did not find your name then contact NTS immediately.

Rejected Applications

If your name is not in accepted candidate list then you find your name in rejected candidate list .If your name is in rejected candidate list , its mean error in your application form.So you remove your error before the admission test date.

Preparation

The preparation of  FMDC MBBS Admission test  includes two types of preparation schemes

1. Preparing General Section :For General section you have to memorize vocabulary for verbal section.
2.  Preparing Subject Section : For subject part you are to revise your subject matter.

How to Score High

The pass marks of test is 50 but if you want to get  admission in FMDC then you take at least 70% marks in the test.

How To Comfort Yourself After Failing An Examination.

Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.
Specially I (admin) also faced this situation or condition. I was also disappointed once a time, but I thought I can do and never gave up, and continued my struggle. I actually want to to say that never give up, if you want to achieve your destiny. Here is an article  which may helps you to overcome frustration.

Helping Yourself Overcome Frustrations

It is never an easy thing to deal with your disappointments when you fail an examination. This is hard to accept especially when you have done almost everything you can to pass. It feels like you have been cheated by your fate because you did not pass the exam which could grant you a better life.

Indeed, failing an examination is unbearable. However, you should not dwell into those feelings of discouragements just because things did not happen the way you want them to be. You should learn how to overcome frustrations and help yourself move on.

What Things To Do To Make You Feel Alright

1) Learn to accept the fact.

You cannot move on when you cannot accept the truth that you really did not make it. You will just keep on blaming yourself and other people for the unpleasant results of your examination. This is not healthy because it would result to too much depression.

It is not right to torture yourself just because you cannot believe that your efforts are still not enough to get that passing score.

2) Be Strong.

It takes courage and deep strength to overcome the overwhelming feelings of frustrations when you fail an examination. You should help yourself by staying strong by neglecting all the negative feelings brought by the disappointments.

You should be strong not just for yourself but also for the people who believes in you. You can get from them the strength you need most to overcome the unbearable feelings.

3) Be Optimistic.

Success is for those people who never quit. You should look forward for good things to happen ahead of you. You should tell yourself that a failed examination may give you bad days but not bad life.

4) Pray for enlightenment.

God’s embrace is the most comforting thing you can have during dark days. Do not forget to pray for His enlightenment believing that He will grant you whatever your heart’s desire if you will just open your mind that He has better plans for you.

Psychiatry or Psychology

Psychology:-

                         The scientific study of the human mind and its functions, especially those affecting behaviour in a given context.

synonyms:-study of the mind, science of the mind, science of the personality, study of the mental processes

                    "she has a degree in psychology"

Psychiatry:-

              The study and treatment of mental illness, emotional disturbance, and abnormal behavior.

What's the difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist?

        The short answer is, psychiatrists are medical doctors and psychologists are not. The suffix "-iatry" means "medical treatment," and "-logy" means "science" or "theory." So psychiatry is the medical treatment of the psyche, and psychology is the science of the psyche.

Their Credentials

Psychiatrists begin their careers in medical school. After earning their MD, they go on to four years of residency training in mental health, typically at a hospital's psychiatric department. After completing their residency, these physicians can be licensed to practice psychiatry. In order to become a Psychiatrist one must first study complete MBBS and then take a specialization in that stream.

Psychologists go through five to seven years of academic graduate study, culminating in a doctorate degree. They may hold a PhD or a PsyD. Those who are mainly interested in clinical psychology -- treating patients as opposed to focusing on research -- may pursue a PsyD.Licensing requirements for psychologists vary from state to state, but at least a one- or two-year internship is required to apply for a license to practice psychology.

Prescribing Powers

As medical doctors, psychiatrists can do what most psychologists cannot: They can even prescribe drugs.But a psychologist has no power to prescribe drugs.

Key differentiators between Psychology and Psychiatry:-

There are many differences between Psychology and Psychiatry. One of the first dissimilarity would be the varied nomenclature. Psychiatrists and Psychologists over and over again treat the same issues, in different ways. Psychotherapy techniques facilitate both fields to work on the research side and the practicing side. Psychiatrists are basically doctors with certification of MD or DO. On the other hand a Psychologist is less medically oriented and more scientifically rooted. Even though Psychology and Psychiatry can handle similar patients and caseloads, there is difference in their philosophy. One main difference is that a Psychologist does not have the power to prescribe medication to their patients, as long as there is no consultation with and approved licensed Psychiatrist. A Psychiatrist usually treats illnesses through medicines and less on psychotherapy, and a Psychologists way opposite, since most cannot prescribe medication.

Future :-

Both a psychologist and a psychiatrist are Doctors, however, someone practice psychology has earned a doctorate degree that is either a PhD or a PsyD, whereas someone practicing psychiatry is a medical doctor. Both career choices require several years of commitment to studies and both are rewarding careers that offer a variety of subfields in which you can practice. The career outlook for both positions have been and will continue to be good career options. The salaries vary depending on the field of psychiatry and/or psychology you choose to specialize in, however, a psychiatrist typically earns a larger yearly income than a psychologist due to the medical degree.

Scope :-

Psychology :- Psychology future in Pakistan is very good and there are many options available for psychologists in Pakistan. Students with Masters in Psychology are usually employed, depending upon their specialization, by multinationals, health and education sectors. In multinationals they are employed in research, human resources and training. In health sector they are employed as clinical psychologist, psychometrician, addiction and family counsellor and education sector  employed them as school psychologist, guidance counsellor and teacher. Beside that many students opt for teaching profession (psychology) in public and private institutions.

 
Psychiatrist :-As psychiatrist has also better scope in Pakistan as well as better salary .

          

Remember your decision for getting into psychology field should not be based only on job prospects, rather it should be based on your interest and passion. Technological advancement rapidly changing the nature and scope of occupations. Therefore don't expect that you'll end up only in the above mentioned sectors/options. There will be many more occupational options available to you by the time you'll finish your school.

Moral:-                     I think you guys get it .If you don’t understand it then I think so you need a Psychiatrist/ Psychologist.

A Guideline by us

This is the most important guideline. If you are anxious or fearful coming into anything, the whole experience is already stunted from the very beginning. You should have a respectful relationship with organic chemistry because it will take a lot of your time, but being scared of it is just a waste of energy. You are just as intelligent and able as anyone else. Know that and believe that. Ever heard the saying "Dogs can smell fear"? Well so can organic compounds! Seriously, organic chemistry is challenging, but it is also fascinating and directly related to every second of your existence. A lot of things in your life will be challenging, but you must approach it with a clear view of the purpose and the work required. The primary purpose should be to learn organic chemistry, and the secondary purpose should be to PASS or get and A. However, if you really focus on learning organic chemistry you will pass; therefore, there is only one purpose: to learn organic chemistry. Practice makes Perfect Oh this is such a valuable tip! Practice, Practice, Practice...this is the ONLY way you will be successful in organic chemistry. Get an organic chemistry workbook and consider it your best friend. Do as many practice problems as you can until you dream about them. When the test comes, it will be a piece of cake!
